TOMMY HILFIGER TAPS RAFAEL NADAL AS AMBASSADOR FOR UNDERWEAR & TAILORED COLLECTIONS

Tommy Hilfiger has tapped Rafael Nadal to serves as a global brand ambassador for the fashion house. Beginning in Fall 2015, the tennis champ will front the Tommy Hilfilger Underwear and Tommy Hilfiger Tailored Collection campaigns. This is not Nadal’s first foray into the modeling game. He previously served as the face of Emporio Armani Underwear and Jeans.

“Rafael Nadal has been a longtime personal friend and supporter of our brand, and I’m continuously inspired by his dedication and passion for his sport,” said Tommy Hilfiger. This exclusive partnership brings one of the greatest athletes of this generation into our Tommy family. JO-WILFRIED TSONGA MODELS WINTER FASHIONS FOR GQ FRANCE

GQ France tapped Jo-Wilfried Tsonga to appear in the magazine’s January issue. The #12 ranked tennis star is featured in a 10-page fashion editorial, where he models Winter coats and jackets. He donned ten different styles, ranging from classic, elegant coats to edgier, patterned picks.

“I like to dress fashionably, it’s great. I think GQ is the best magazine for me in terms of fashion for men. It’s very cool and I’m very happy to do some photos for them.” (via ATP)

A GLAM SLAM TALKS CITIZEN, STYLE & FASHION DESIGN COMPETITION WITH VICTORIA AZARENKA

In time for the US Open, Citizen Watch Company designed a special timepiece for Victoria Azarenka. The tennis champ has been an ambassador for the brand since 2012. The new watch is part of the company’s Ecosphere collection, a fashion-forward line that will first debut this fall.

The Victoria Azarenka Limited Edition Ecosphere features a rose gold-tone stainless steel case with white silicone strap and white dial, as well as Citizen Eco-Drive’s light-powered technology. The watch retails for $495 and is available here. 

Vika is among the WTA stars with an off-court interest in fashion. To coincide with the introduction of the watch, she held a fashion design competition with the students at the High School of Fashion Industries in New York. H&M LAUNCHES TOMAS BERDYCH COLLECTION OF TENNIS APPAREL

Earlier this year, H&M entered the tennis design game, when the Swedish retailer tapped Tomas Berdych as a brand ambassador. As part of the long-term partnership, Berdych would wear H&M apparel both on and off-the-court, and work closely with the company to co-design its first collection of tennis apparel.

The Czech player has been sporting H&M branded gear throughout the tennis season, including the 2013 U.S. Open. Now the company has launched its exclusive Tomas Berdych Collection of tennis gear, available online and in select stores. The range consists of tees, shorts, socks, sweatbands and caps. Items boast an affordable price tag, ranging from $5.95 for sweatbands to $34.95 for tennis shorts.

WTA STARS DRESS UP FOR 2013 ISTANBUL DRAW CEREMONY

The WTA competitive season concludes this week with TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships in Istanbul. Before hitting the court, the game’s stylish stars dressed up for the draw ceremony in Istanbul. The event showcased the sartorial skills of tennis’ top females, proving that their personal style is as distinct as their playing style. Included among the “elite 8” were: Sara Errani, Agnieszka Radwanska, Petra Kvitova, Serena Williams, Victoria Azarenka, Li Na, Jelena Jankovic and Angelique Kerber.

The chosen fashions ranged from a long-sleeve sequin mini for Jelena Jankovic, to a pantsuit for Angelique Kerber, and a sheer panel dress for Agnieszka Radwanska. In addition to their designer duds, beauty company and official cosmetics of the WTA, Oriflame, held a style suite prior to the shoot, providing the finishing touches for each ladies’ look. RAFAEL NADAL COVERS VANITY FAIR SPAIN’S 5TH ANNIVERSARY ISSUE

Fresh off his 13th Grand Slam win, Rafael Nadal transitioned from the tennis scene to the fashion scene. He swapped out his Nike threads in favor of a tuxedo and a slicked back hairdo. Together with model Clara Alonso, he covers the latest issue of Vanity Fair Spain, which celebrates the publications’s 5th Anniversary. Nadal had also appeared in the magazine’s debut issue, in 2008.

In celebration of the anniversary, the October issue celebrates Spanish talent like Nadal, who has “achieved success with sacrifice, perseverance and passion.” Vanity Fair Spain interviewed tennis star in New York, prior to the U.S. Open. For the full interview, read on here.
