Today Ashworth Golf revealed the fairway fashions for the U.S. golfers. The company serves as the official supplier for the U.S. Team at The Presidents Cup, to be held October 1-6 at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio.
The competitive clothing range includes seven special-edition styles that were inspired by Team Captain, Fred Couples. In addition to his duties as captain, Couples also played the role of designer. He was involved in the process of choosing colors, fabrics and styles for The Presidents Cup collection. He also worked to incorporate his favorite design elements from apparel worn throughout his career, into the team’s wardrobe.

Fresh off his 13th Grand Slam win, Rafael Nadal transitioned from the tennis scene to the fashion scene. He swapped out his Nike threads in favor of a tuxedo and a slicked back hairdo. Together with model Clara Alonso, he covers the latest issue of Vanity Fair Spain, which celebrates the publications’s 5th Anniversary. Nadal had also appeared in the magazine’s debut issue, in 2008.

The NFL has seen double-digit growth in women’s apparel in recent years, as team fashions are now designed with a trendy, modern flair. Each season brings a new crop of fashion-forward merchandise for female fans. Beckham was on hand to celebrate the launch of Belstaff’s Bond Street Store, as part of London Fashion Week.

Fashion and football collided on the runway at Style360, during Fashion Week in New York. The NFL Women’s Apparel and Junk Food “NFL Elements” show was curated by Kristin Cavallari, wife of Chicago Bears quarterback, Jay Cutler. Cavallari’s gridiron garb offered a stylish spin on standard gameday designs.
The fashion show incorporated elements of the game experience, including referees, marching band members, and a catwalk that mimiced a football field. The presentation was divided into “4 Quarters,” with fashions for all 32 teams represented on the runway.
Cavallari’s capsule collection merged sports-inspired influences like deconstructed jerseys, athletic stripes and logos, with feminine, contemporary silhouettes, including maxi dresses, form-fitting mini dresses, oversized boyfriend shirts, and cropped sweaters and tees. Much like the NFL Draft, National Signing Day affords future football stars a chance to begin working on their off-field fashion game. Players announced their new schools stylistically, incorporating team hues into their ensembles. Some wore a tie for the very first time, while others demonstrated the swagger and confidence that fans are more likely to see from style veterans.
The newest crop of recruits also proved they are partial to bow ties.
