Carmelo Anthony has long been a fan of the Rag & Bone brand. The NBA star is often a presence at Rag & Bone runway shows and he recently attended the Met Gala, wearing a custom design from the company. Last holiday season, he also curated gift picks from the brand. Now the Rag & Bone design duo of Marcus Wainwright and David Neville, have tapped Anthony to help showcase the Spring/Summer ’15 collection.
The company chose a range of famous faces to model the latest offerings. In lieu of a traditional fashion show, Rag & Bone highlighted new men’s styles with a series of portraits. Anthony represents the sports world, as the only athlete to appear in the photo set. He joined the likes of Jerry Seinfeld, photographer Glen Luchford, and tattoo artist Alex McWatt, among others. Russell Westbrook has added to his ever-growing fashion resume with the launch of a new eyewear line. Fashion has been the focal point of Westbrook’s off-season thus far. The Oklahoma City Thunder guard recently teamed up with Barneys NY, to curate a capsule collection of sportswear and accessories. He visited Paris to fete the collaboration and attend the Men’s Fashion Week runways shows. Now the self-proclaimed “frame fanatic” has released a collection of eyewear, a partnership with Selima Optique.

Victoria’s Secret PINK has released a new crop of collegiate-themed clothing designs. The company first debuted its college collection in 2008, and the line continues to expand each year. Currently there are 68 schools offered in the collection. Among the newest additions are: Baylor, Boise State, Brown, Columbia, Fresno State, Georgetown, University of Hawaii, Iowa State, University of Minnesota, Northwestern University, Oxford University, University of Pennsylvania, San Diego State, Southern Methodist University, and Vanderbilt University.
The updated apparel range includes mesh tanks, boyfriend tanks, crew neck tees, v-neck jerseys, mesh boyfriend jerseys, throwback jerseys, varsity crews, and tunic hoodies. Cristiano Ronaldo is expanding his CR7 fashion brand, with the launch of a collection of premium shirts. The Portuguese footballer first debuted his CR7 Underwear range last fall. The line was a collaborative effort with JBS Textile Group and NY-based fashion designer, Richard Chai. In an effort to make his sense of style even more accessible to the masses, Ronaldo is branching out into shirt design. In doing so, he’ll continue his relationship with Chai.

Athletes have become known for their savvy sense of style outside of their sport. To keep up with the competition in the sartorial game, several sports pros have traveled to the Fashion Week festivities in Paris and Milan, to view the menswear trends for the upcoming Spring/Summer ’15 season. Victor Cruz and Nick Young were first spotted in the front row, at the Calvin Klein Collection runway show in Milan. Young kept a photo diary of his Milan Fashion Week experience for GQ magazine. Hockey’s star players stepped into the sartorial spotlight last night, for the 2014 NHL Awards. The event was held at Wynn Las Vegas and this marked the fifth year that the league has honored top players and performances from the past season. To check out the complete list of winners, visit here.
As in previous years, many players were outfitted by John Varvatos for the evening. Varvatos has collaborated with the NHL on several occasions. During this year’s Stanley Cup finals, the designer admitted that the league is full of style standouts. He told WWD:

In similar fashion, a range of high-end designers have put their aesthetic spin on soccer balls, to coincide with the World Cup. Earlier this year, H&M entered the tennis design game, when the Swedish retailer tapped Tomas Berdych as a brand ambassador. As part of the long-term partnership, Berdych would wear H&M apparel both on and off-the-court, and work closely with the company to co-design its first collection of tennis apparel.
The Czech player has been sporting H&M branded gear throughout the tennis season, including the 2013 U.S. Open. Now the company has launched its exclusive Tomas Berdych Collection of tennis gear, available online and in select stores. The range consists of tees, shorts, socks, sweatbands and caps. Items boast an affordable price tag, ranging from $5.95 for sweatbands to $34.95 for tennis shorts.
