New York Mets pitcher, Matt Harvey, sat down with GQ magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, Jim Nelson, for an episode of AOL On Original series, “Win/Win.” GQ often celebrates athletes and their sense of style, and Harvey is among the many sports pros who have expressed an interest in the fashion arena.
With his visit to the men’s magazine, he got a chance to see how things are put together in the fashion world, with a tour of the office, an opportunity to meet with members of the team, and a chance to try on apparel from the fashion closet. Harvey also sat down with Nelson to discuss competitiveness in sports and style and his season-ending surgery. Forever 21 has previously launched NBA and World Cup themed apparel collections, and now the retailer has extended its sports reach to include hockey. The latest team styles celebrate the NHL’s seven Canadian teams including: Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs, Vancouver Canucks, and Winnipeg Jets.

Russell Westbrook has some new competition in the underwear design game. The Oklahoma City Thunder guard has designed and modeled skivvy styles for the Kings & Jaxs brand. In similar fashion, his teammate, Kevin Durant, has joined forces with Neff to develop an underwear collection.
“Before becoming friends with Kevin, I was a huge fan of him on and off the court,” Shaun Neff said. ”I am very excited to partner with him to create a great product that is functional and stylish that kids will want to put on every morning when they wake up.”
The Neff brand is best known for its headwear fashions for the snowboarding, skating, surfing markets. The company has tapped Durant to help create an exclusive underwear collection, with styles to be worn on and off-the-court.

NBA athletes joined television stars last night at the Primetime Emmy Awards. Chris Bosh, Brook Lopez and Robin Lopez were among the style-conscious players in attendance, each outfitted in custom formalwear designs. They brought their sartorial A-game, clad in handsomely tailored tuxedos, created to fit and flatter their large frames.
Chris Bosh was sharply dressed in an ensemble from Waraire Boswell. A white tuxedo jacket was paired with black pants and a black bow tie. The complete look was styled by Kesha McLeod of Thomas Faison.
Brook and Robin Lopez posed together prior to the Emmy Awards red carpet. The brothers were outfitted in designs from Boushra Alchabaoun of Elevee Lifestyle. Brook wore a striking blue tux, while Robin chose a white jacket with contrasting black lapels and black pants.
