Hello! Canada released its annual best-dressed list, featuring a mix of actors, supermodels, TV personalities, and athletes. P.K. Subban represents the sports world, along with Mike Bradwell, wide receiver for the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts, former CFL player, Brad Smith, and former Toronto Blue Jays catcher, Gregg Zaun.
The Montreal Canadiens defenseman has often expressed an interest in fashion and he’s one of the league’s sartorial leaders. Last season, as part of the “NHL Life” web series with L’Oreal Paris Men Expert, Subban spoke about getting dressed for gameday:
“It’s fun. I enjoy it. I enjoy going there and picking out different colors and fabrics and stuff like that. I take pride in how I look when I go to work.”

NFL players are transitioning their competitive spirit from the gridiron to the fashion game. GQ magazine has launched “Style Wars,” pitting the league’s sartorial stars against one another. The 12 participating athletes are: Victor Cruz (New York Giants), Cam Newton (Carolina Panthers), Eric Decker (New York Jets), Larry Fitzgerald (Arizona Cardinals), Arian Foster (Houston Texans), Earl Thomas (Seattle Seahawks), Demarco Murray (Dallas Cowboys), Donte Whitner (Cleveland Brwons), Eric Ebron (Detroit Lions), Randall Cobb (Green Bay Packers), Colin Kaepernick (San Francisco 49ers) and Michael Crabtree (San Francisco 49ers).
As part of the competition, each player submits their most fashionable photos in an effort to be named GQ’s “Most Stylish.” Fans have an opportunity to choose their best-dressed pick and the winner will receive $10,000 for his favorite charity. Vanity Fair has unveiled its 2014 International Best-Dressed list, recognizing a vast range of stylish honorees. Victor Cruz and Henrik Lundqvist represent the sports world, as the two pro athletes snagged a spot alongside Hollywood stars, designers, royals and politicians. The New York Giants wide receiver and New York Rangers goaltender are both well-versed in the fashion world. They are often praised for their clothing choices outside of the game and have cemented their status as men’s style icons. This is not the first time that Vanity Fair has lauded their sartorial skills. It’s a repeat appearance for both athletes, as Lundqvist was named among last year’s top dressers, while Cruz appeared on the list in 2012.
The sports stars shared their fashion favorites with the magazine, including shoes, accessories and style icons.
