Colin Kaepernick has joined with New Era Caps to unveil a specialty collection of headwear, dubbed the San Francisco 49ers “Colin Kaepernick” NFL Inspired Collection. The line features three 9FIFTY Adjustable Cap styles. The hats were designed with floral, leather and snakeskin embellishments, for looks that appear both high-end and casual. Prices range from $31.99 to $37.99.

As part of the “Taste of the New York Jets” festivities, team members will participate in a fashion show featuring menswear styles from Saks Fifth Avenue. Ahead of his runway appearance, Demario Davis got some assistance with his sartorial game, thanks to a visit from Saks VP, Men’s Fashion Director, Eric Jennings. The Jets partnered with Saks Fifth Avenue on a menswear series called “Fashion Blitz.”
Jennings visited the Jets linebacker for a “Fashion Blitz” of his closet. He checked out Davis’ wardrobe options, the fit of his suits, clothing items that need to be replaced, and his vast collection of sneakers. Within the piece, Davis also spoke about his NFL style inspiration and his fashion evolution.

New York Mets pitcher, Matt Harvey, sat down with GQ magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, Jim Nelson, for an episode of AOL On Original series, “Win/Win.” GQ often celebrates athletes and their sense of style, and Harvey is among the many sports pros who have expressed an interest in the fashion arena.
With his visit to the men’s magazine, he got a chance to see how things are put together in the fashion world, with a tour of the office, an opportunity to meet with members of the team, and a chance to try on apparel from the fashion closet. Harvey also sat down with Nelson to discuss competitiveness in sports and style and his season-ending surgery. Victor Cruz and Henrik Lundqvist represent the sports world, as the two pro athletes snagged a spot alongside Hollywood stars, designers, royals and politicians. The New York Giants wide receiver and New York Rangers goaltender are both well-versed in the fashion world. They are often praised for their clothing choices outside of the game and have cemented their status as men’s style icons. This is not the first time that Vanity Fair has lauded their sartorial skills. It’s a repeat appearance for both athletes, as Lundqvist was named among last year’s top dressers, while Cruz appeared on the list in 2012.

Malcolm Jenkins fronts Capital Style magazine’s July/August Men’s Issue. The Philadelphia Eagles safety is among the NFL players who are well-versed in fashion. While playing with the New Orleans Saints, he created Rock Avenue Bow Ties. The brand offers a range of bow ties and pocket squares and aims educate the masses about the art of tying a bow tie.
The Capital Style cover has him donning his signature accessory. Jenkins is dressed in a custom jacket and pants from Q Clothier, a custom shirt from Astor & Black, a Rock Avenue Bow Ties pocket square, and a Rock Avenue Bow ties prototype bow tie.
Inside the publication, Jenkins is among three Columbus athletes highlighted for their style outside the game. In addition to the former Ohio State football player, the featured sports pros include Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman, James Wisniewski and Columbus Crew midfielder, Wil Trapp.

Earlier this summer, Eric Decker was announced as the new face of the Buffalo David Bitton Fall 2014 campaign. The New York Jets wide receiver is the second athlete to appear in ads for the fashion house, as part of the brand’s “Buffalo Pro” initiative. NBA baller, Chandler Parsons, starred in the Spring 2014 shots, together with Ashley Sky.
Decker makes his modeling debut alongside Victoria’s Secret model, Erin Heatherton. The new campaign has him dressed in apparel from the latest Buffalo David Bitton collection. He’s outfitted in a range of styles, including plaid button-down shirts, henleys, motorcycle jackets and denim.

The 22nd annual ESPY Awards were held at the Nokia Theatre last night, and athletes brought their fashion A-game for the evening. The competitive nature of sports transitioned to the red carpet, as players vied for best-dressed honors. To increase the sartorial focus, this year’s ESPY Awards Red Carpet featured the Capital One Quicksilver Cam, offering a 360-degree view of each ensemble. Athletes have become known for their savvy sense of style outside of their sport. To keep up with the competition in the sartorial game, several sports pros have traveled to the Fashion Week festivities in Paris and Milan, to view the menswear trends for the upcoming Spring/Summer ’15 season. Victor Cruz and Nick Young were first spotted in the front row, at the Calvin Klein Collection runway show in Milan. Young kept a photo diary of his Milan Fashion Week experience for GQ magazine. To coincide with the start of the 2013-14 NHL season on October 1, Boston Bruins Gregory Campbell and Patrice Bergeron are among the stylish sportsmen to be featured on John Varvatos’ website, within the “Style & Substance” spotlight. The monthly section profiles men “whose creativity and dedication to their work follows in the spirit of John Varvatos’ own approach to his craft.” Boston-based athletes Rajon Rondo, Jacoby Ellsbury and Julian Edelman are featured gents also.
Shot during the off-season, Campbell and Bergeron were photographed wearing their own John Varvatos outfits. They share visual snapshots from their life paired with personal quotes about their craft and individual style.
