Consumers are certainly familiar with MasterCard’s “Priceless” ad campaign which first debuted in 1997. As part of the latest leg of the campaign, the brand is introducing the “Priceless Cities” program which offers one-of-a-kind experiences to cardholders. Beginning in New York on July 11th, these “priceless experiences” include an overnight adventure at the Bronx Zoo, watching a Yankee game with a Yankee legend and a variety of additional sports, shopping, travel and entertainment opportunities. The program will roll out to additional cities to be revealed at a later date and will also feature a large social media presence on sites such as facebook and twitter. As part of the Oakley “Peform Beautifully” weekend in Napa Valley, CA, A Glam Slam had the opportunity to participate in activities alongside a group of very inspirational women, including Oakley athletes Gretchen Bleiler and Jenny Fletcher.
Olympic snowboarder, Gretchen Bleiler, was largely responsible for Oakley’s push towards more feminine, fashion-forward gear. Gretchen’s signature collection in 2006 was the first line that Oakley had ever done with an athlete, male or female. Her input helped to change the whole look and feel of snowboarding outerwear and in turn, has impacted additional women’s offerings. A Glam Slam stopped by the Burton showroom in NYC to check out all of the brand’s offerings and chat with Hannah Teter, Olympic gold medalist and a member of the Burton team. Last night, A Glam Slam attended the A.E.R. “Walk With Style” event hosted by NFL star, Kerry Rhodes and Sports Illustrated supermodel, Hilary Rhoda. The night also included a runway show from featured designer, Laila Azhar.
The A.E.R. (Advocate, Educate, Revolutionize) event successfully merged both fashion and sports in an effort to make an impact on our community. The night, which benefitted CancerCares, was meant to bring forth awareness and empower both survivors and those suffering with lung cancer. It was a great way to support a great cause. And having Kerry Rhodes as the host made it that much better.
