BASEBALL CAPS GET HIGH FASHION TREATMENT

Baseball caps are no longer reserved for the field. The hats have been popping up on fashion runways from New York to Paris and the fashion industry has embraced the sports-inspired headwear as a lead accessory in everyday wardrobes. In the sports world, the caps are never out of style. Outside the game, the head toppers are making a fashion comeback, becoming the latest “must-have” item in men’s and women’s wear collections.

Green Bay Packers fans now have a new way to showcase their team pride, thanks to Wisconsin-based clothing retailer, Lands’ End. The company developed an exclusive collection to celebrate the 13-time championship winning team and its traditions. The “Titletown” line features a range of green and gold apparel and accessories for the entire family, including dresses, shirts, hats, gloves, tote bags, towels and dog sweaters.

JAY-Z’S LIMITED-EDITION CARTER #4 BROOKLYN NETS JERSEY UP FOR AUCTION

The Brooklyn Nets will hit the hardwood in new on-court fashions as part of the team’s inaugural season. The Nets have revamped their gametime wardrobe, abandoning the team’s previous red, silver and blue color scheme in favor of black and white hues. Team co-owner, Jay-Z, had a hand in developing the designs which are meant to “fuse adidas’ on-court innovations with premium men’s fashion,” and “reinforce Brooklyn’s strong and confident identity and the borough’s hometown pride.”

The team will wear white home jerseys and black away jerseys this season. Marchesa, the fashion house known for its lustworthy red carpet creations, has switched gears in the name of New York Jets football. The designer has debuted limited-edition Gang Green-themed tops. The collaboration came about with the help of Suzanne Johnson, wife of Jets owner Woody Johnson and ambassador for the NFL women’s apparel campaign.
