Last night Glamour magazine hosted its 25th Women of the Year Awards at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Each year the awards recognize female leaders from all walks of life, including entertainment, politics, fashion, and sports. Representing the latter was the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team, the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup champions.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary, the magazine also tapped eight award-winning filmmakers to follow around the honorees and task them with answering the question: “What makes this woman a woman of the year?” Marjan Tehrani, a documentary filmmaker, stepped up to the challenge for the USWNT. Fresh off of their World Series appearance, New York Mets pitchers Jacob deGrom and Noah Syndergaard visited Macy’s Herald Square to help celebrate the retailer’s newly opened men’s floors.
As part of the festivities, DeGrom and Syndergaard were on-hand at the Buffalo David Bitton Shop for a meet and greet with fans. This is not the first time the company has enlisted sports pros. The Buffalo David Bitton #InTheBuff campaign has featured a roster of athletes including Chandler Parsons, Eric Decker and Ronda Rousey.
For the evening, the pitchers swapped their blue and orange for denim styles from the brand:

Chandler Parsons teamed up with Del Toro Shoes, to launch his second collection with the brand. The Miami-based company has become a footwear staple among many NBA players, and Parsons is among the athletes who is often seen sporting the designs.
With a debut party held at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills, the latest offerings from Chandler Parsons and Del Toro Shoes were on display. The Spring/Summer 2016 range will be available exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue, Del Toro’s Wynwood Boutique and online for both.
Among the featured designs in Parsons’ capsule collection are the “Chandler Parsons Suede Chukka Sneakers,” with a $385 price tag. The Dallas Mavericks forward recently donned another one of his styles, the “Polka Dot Embossed Velvet Slipper, on the NBA sidelines.

New York Giants wide receivers Victor Cruz and Odell Beckham Jr. teamed up off-the-field, to represent the sports world at the 12th annual CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards. The NFL athletes celebrated this year’s three winners, including designers Aurora James of Brother Vellies, Rio Uribe of Gypsey Sport, and Jonathan Simkhai.
Both footballers have been touted among the top-dressers in the NFL. Cruz was clad in a classic black Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci tuxedo for the evening. The footballer currently fronts the company’s Fall/Winter ’15 fashion campaign. Odell Beckham Jr. also attended the awards, dressed in an all-black ensemble from Public School NYC.

The Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets will face off next Thursday in a new set of on-field fashions, as Nike debuts the “Color Rush” NFL uniforms. Eight teams will debut the styles this season, exclusively for Thursday Night Games, with the remaining NFL squads to follow suit in 2016. Nike explained the inspiration behind the concept:
