John Daly is no stranger to outlandish on-course styling. Though today’s golf fashions continue to evolve with bold colorways, unconventional designs and garish accessories, Daly still managed to add some sartorial shock factor to the course at The Open Championship.

The Open has brought out a range of unique trousers across the board, but it was Daly who has stirred up the most fashion buzz. The golfer made a major fashion impression in the early rounds of the tournament, stepping out in patterned pants inspired by the Norwegian Flag and the British flag. Daly is outfitted by LoudMouth Golf, an apparel company known for their vibrant use of color and uniquely wild designs. Daly’s “Norway Flag-A” trousers can be found here and his “Union Jack-A” trousers are available here.

Posted on July 12th, by HeatherZeller in BLOG. 2 comments

Fans are used to seeing athletes in uniform but each year the ESPY Awards provide us with a glimpse into their personal fashion choices. The biggest names in sports trade in their dirt-stained jerseys, beat-up cleats and helmets in favor of bespoke suits, couture dresses, bold accessories and designer bling. Athletes and their stylists put a lot of thought and preparation into outfits worn off-the-field, court and ice and this night is no exception. While some sportsmen kept it simple, others continued to push fashion boundaries which made for an interesting sartorial showcase.

Here’s a breakdown of the fashions from the 2012 ESPY Awards:

The ESPYS “Best Female Tennis Player” was also one of the evening’s best-dressed females. Maria Sharapova looked statuesque in a dusty blue gown from J. Mendel, with daring cut-out details to further accentuate her frame. … Read More »

Posted on July 11th, by HeatherZeller in BLOG. No Comments

Sportsmen are often tapped to front fashion campaigns and recognized for their style of dress. But we don’t typically associate boxers with their sartorial sense. Amir Khan is working to break that mold. The 25-year old British pro boxer is already an Olympic medalist and two-time world champion and in addition to those accomplishments, he has an impressive fashion game.

“Normally boxers don’t really get involved in fashion or anything like that, but I love my fashion, clothing and style,” he told MrPorter.com. “I want to look good when I go into a press conference. I want to look go when I go into a fight. My kit’s explosive, like my fighting style. When you dress well, you fight well.”

The champion boxer has become a fixture at London Fashion Week and he made GQ magazine’s 2012 list of “50 best-dressed men in Britain” … Read More »
