In honor of Super Bowl XLVIII, the NFL had linked up with Bloomingdales and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), as 48 designers were tapped to add their own stylish spin to football helmets. With Super Bowl 50 fast approaching, high-fashion and football have merged yet again.
As a nod to Super Bowl 50, the league has teamed up with the CFDA to recruit 50 designers, including the likes of Todd Snyder, Betsy Johnson and Nicole Miller, Rachel Roy, Rebecca Minkoff, Billy Reid, and Tanya Taylor, to create Bespoke Designer Footballs. The footballs each feature golden touches, meant to pay homage to the golden anniversary of the big game. From there, each of the designers added their own personal flair, from Swarovski crystals and spikes, to tassels and embroidery. For a behind-the-scenes look at the design process, visit here.
The custom footballs will be auctioned off at NFL.com, to benefit the … Read More »
