Matt Kemp can now add a new fashion endeavor to his resume. Gap has tapped the Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder to help promote the retailer’s outlet business. Kemp will appear in ads for Gap’s outlet stores this fall, alongside model, Chanel Iman.
While MLB players are not at the forefront of the fashion conversation as often as NBA or NFL players, Kemp has expressed an interest in style. FC Bayern Munich will suit up in luxe styles off-the-field, with the help of Giorgio Armani. The Italian fashion house has signed a three-year deal with the soccer squad, to become the new “Fashion and Luxury Clothing partner.” Beginning with the 2014/2015 season, the team’s players and management will be dressed in custom styles from the company’s Made to Measure Collection.
“Guardiola’s Bayern is a winning team that plays a quality game, and is composed of motivated athletes with an international scope. Vogue continues to celebrate soccer stars ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The fashion publication first tapped Cristiano Ronaldo to front the latest issue of Vogue Espana. Now Barcelona star, Neymar, is featured on the cover of Vogue Brazil, together with Gisele Bundchen. As the magazine explains, the World Cup-themed issue brings together “the two greatest exponents of fashion and football made in Brazil: Gisele Bundchen and Neymar.”
The current cover has Neymar and Gisele dressed in all-white, adding a pop of color with the Brazilian flag. Mario Testino was once again behind the photos, which were taken in Barcelona. Off-the-field, Eli Manning has been keeping time with Citizen Watches. The New York Giants quarterback joined forces with the brand several years ago, and has helped to design his signature, limited-edition timepieces. He’s also been a winner on the post-game style front. Manning often takes the podium sporting designs from Ermenegildo Zegna, accessorized with his Citizen Watches.
The partnership is not only fashionable, as Manning recently teamed up with Citizen Watches to support the brand’s National Merit Scholarship program, which rewards 50 scholarships to “unstoppable” college students. Last year, the company launched an exclusive collection of Miami Heat gear, which sold out in less than 10 minutes. Peace Love World also has deal with the Dallas Cowboys.
The brand has now expanded its basketball-themed designs to include additional teams. Cristiano Ronaldo is the latest athlete to get the Vogue magazine treatment. The Portuguese footballer and Real Madrid star covers the June 2014 issue of Vogue Espana, alongside his girlfriend, Irina Shayk. Despite being known for his off-field fashion sense, Ronaldo appears completely nude, while Shayk is dressed in a white gown.

The piece features the couple in various states of undress, inside Ronaldo’s home in Madrid. The duo is also pictured posing in CR7 Underwear, the footballer’s signature line.

New Era Caps has debuted the latest Memorial Day headwear styles to be worn by MLB teams on May 26. The 2014 “Stars & Stripes” designs feature an embroidered team logo on the front and back. The 59FIFTY caps have a digital camo pattern on the crown, with a visor in team hues. The contrasting, solid color visors distinguish this year’s caps from last year’s commemorative caps, which featured an all-over digital camo design.
