RUSSELL WESTBROOK TEAMS UP WITH BARNEYS NY ON EXCLUSIVE COLLECTION

Russell Westbrook has quickly become one of the NBA’s sartorial all-stars. Entering into the fashion game off-the-court was a natural progression for the Oklahoma City Thunder point guard. Earlier this year he teamed up with underwear company, Kings & Jaxs. He put his design skills to the test, creating a pair of “Why Not” boxer briefs for the brand. Now Westbrook is sharing his unique sense of style in a new collaboration with Barneys New York.

“I’m kind of like a designer,” Westbrook told WWD. “My personal style changes every season.”

Westbrook has curated a capsule collection of sportswear and accessories, which will include a variety of menswear brands that the NBA baller wears himself. The line falls under the tag: “Westbrook XO Barneys New York,” and be available at Barneys stores and Barneys.com in mid-July. According to the brand:

DOCKERS PARTNERS WITH JIM & SARAH HARBAUGH ON CAMPAIGN TO “STOP DAD PANTS”

For San Francisco 49’ers coach, Jim Harbaugh, khaki pants have served as wardrobe staple on the sidelines. His trousers received extra attention last season, when Harbaugh’s wife revealed that she was not a fan of the sartorial statement. Soon afterwards, the coach was spotted in Walmart, purchasing an $8 version of the pants. In response to the khaki craze, a range of apparel companies offered up their own options for Harbaugh.

Now Dockers has teamed up with the NFL coach “to rid the world of ill-fitting pants,” under the tag: #StopDadPants. Fans can join the crusade against Dad Pants by following Dockers on twitter and instagram, and uploading a photo “putting your best pants forward,” along with the hashtag #StopDadPants. DAVID BECKHAM LAUNCHES BELSTAFF CAPSULE COLLECTION

Last Fall, David Beckham was announced as the face of Belstaff’s Spring/Summer 2014 campaign. To take the partnership one step further, Beckham has created his first capsule collection for the British luxury lifestyle brand, well-known for its motorbiking styles.

The Beckham for Belstaff line consists of 9 pieces, inspired by the soccer star’s own Belstaff biker jacket. Among the offerings are a classic moto jacket, a leather biker jacket, a waxed cotton jacket, classic tees, distressed denim pants, and calfskin leather boots. Prices range from $95 for a t-shirt to $1,950 for a leather jacket.

In developing the line, Beckham worked closely with the Belstaff creative team, to bring his personal style into the designs. He explained:

MARIA SHARAPOVA NAMED THE FACE OF AVON LUCK FRAGRANCES

Fresh off of her French Open win, Maria Sharapova has added another endeavor to her ever-expanding off-court resume. The tennis champ has been tapped as the face of Avon’s new Luck fragrances for men and women. Sharapova is no stranger to the beauty business. She recently became the co-owner of Supergoop Sunscreen. With her Avon venture, she joins a roster of athletes including Derek Jeter and Chris Paul, who have also endorsed the brand’s scents.

According to the company, the Avon Luck fragrances celebrate life’s good fortunes, amazing events and infinite possibilities. The women’s scent features sparkling citrus and luscious berries blended with creamy white florals and warm sandalwood. For the men’s scent, fresh mandarin and cool spices blend with rich musk and intoxicating woods.

2014 FRENCH OPEN FASHION TRENDS

Tennis pros step up their fashion game for each of the season’s Grand Slam tournaments. Players continue to sport silhouettes, prints and colors that pair well with their personalities. Roland Garros affords players an opportunity to wear styles that are bold and bright, before transitioning to all-white attire for the next Grand Slam in Wimbledon. Competitors did not hold back with their 2014 French Open styles and A Glam Slam broke down some of the tournaments top trends.

Florals: Tomas Berdych and Agnieszka Radwanska debuted floral printed designs for the French Open. Berdych was dressed in Hawaiian-inspired apparel from his signature H&M tennis collection. The shirt’s navy and white floral front was balanced by a solid, white back. Radwankska’s multi-colored floral dress featured black straps and a pleated skirt. The new design is part of Lotto Sport’s limited-edition Maddy Collection.

ESPN & HOMAGE TEAM UP ON “EVERY 4 YEARS” WORLD CUP APPAREL LINE

ESPN Consumer Products and HOMAGE, a lifestyle brand known for its retro tees, have teamed up to create a special collection of World Cup apparel. The limited-edition line falls under the tag, “Every 4 Years,” and is inspired by ESPN’s brand marketing campaign for this year’s World Cup. As the company explained:

The vintage tees feature graphics inspired by ESPN’s series of artistic posters, created by Brazilian designer Cristiano Siqueira, and ESPN commercials such as “I Believe.”

BRAD SMITH TALKS FASHION WITH PHILADELPHIA LIFE MAGAZINE

Football fans are familiar with Brad Smith’s versatility on the gridiron. Off-the-field, his interests extend into the business of fashion. Philadelphia Life magazine highlights Smith’s sartorial game. In addition to evolving his own style skills, the Philadelphia Eagle and Men’s Health contributor has been working to help emerging fashion designers. Earlier this year, he launched the “Design for Brad Smith” competition.

ANDY MURRAY IS FEATURED IN MR. PORTER.COM’S “THE LOOK”

Andy Murray models for MrPorter.com, an online retail destination for men’s style, in the latest installment of “The Look.” The Queen’s Club served as the backdrop for his shoot, which was photographed by John Balson and styled by Dan May. Murray was outfitted in denim designs from Nudie Jeans, Simon Miller and Jean Shop, long-sleeve tees from Acne Studios and Massimo Alba, and a coat from Bottega Veneta. On his feet, the tennis champ wore sandals with socks, and questioned the trend when speaking with MrPorter.com’s Style Director.

Pairs Division: Blake Griffin and Chris Paul; LeBron James and Dwyane Wade

Off-the-court, teammates Griffin and Paul share a stylist, Courtney Mays, who recently revealed the “Secrets to Styling the Clippers.” Mays explained that Griffin is very particular about his fit, and described his wardrobe as “J.
