CRISTIANO RONALDO PARTNERS WITH RANKIN ON NEW CR7 UNDERWEAR CAMPAIGN

Cristiano Ronaldo has unveiled his second CR7 Underwear range. The latest collection includes briefs, trunks, long johns and socks, featuring vibrant color ways and graphics. To coincide with the new launches, Ronaldo partnered with fashion photographer, Rankin, on a new campaign.

As part of the Rankin x Ronaldo for CR7 Underwear collaboration, the footballer modeled designs from his new range, and the images were projected onto iconic landmarks in seven cities across the globe. Among the featured spots were the Arco Della Pace in Milan, Waterloo Station in London and Bowery in New York, as well as locations in Paris, Berlin, Lisbon and Madrid. Below is a preview:

FOREVER COLLECTIBLES DEBUTS UGLY SWEATER STYLES FOR NHL & NBA TEAMS

Ugly sweaters were added to the NFL fan fashion game earlier this year. Forever Collectibles, manufacturer of officially licensed sports and novelty products, created a collection for all 32 teams. Now the line of sweater styles has expanded to include NHL and NBA apparel.

Similar to the NFL, two different designs are offered for each team. The crew neck styles are emblazoned with team colors and logos, and allover graphics ranging from snowflakes to Christmas trees to candy canes.

The sweaters retail for $64.95 and select styles are currently are available for NHL teams here and NBA teams here. As indicated by the company’s website, apparel will soon be available for all teams. MLB squads will receive the ugly sweater treatment as well. EUGENIE BOUCHARD COVERS THE AUGUST ISSUE OF ELLE QUEBEC

Eugenie Bouchard covers the August 2014 issue of Elle Quebec magazine. Bouchard has proven to be a rising star both on the tennis court and in the fashion world. She has already appeared in a range of fashion editorials this year. The Canadian player recently fronted Chic magazine. She also spoke about her style on and off-the-court in the March issue of Flare and snagged a coveted spot in the June issue of Vogue.

Bouchard’s Elle Quebec cover has her sporting wind blown hair and a pair of statement earrings. She told the magazine that the world of fashion photography was “new and very different to me,” but admitted that the shoot did not make her nervous. To check out the piece, visit here.

MALCOLM JENKINS COVERS CAPITAL STYLE MAGAZINE’S MEN’S ISSUE

Malcolm Jenkins fronts Capital Style magazine’s July/August Men’s Issue. The Philadelphia Eagles safety is among the NFL players who are well-versed in fashion. While playing with the New Orleans Saints, he created Rock Avenue Bow Ties. The brand offers a range of bow ties and pocket squares and aims educate the masses about the art of tying a bow tie. 

The Capital Style cover has him donning his signature accessory. Jenkins is dressed in a custom jacket and pants from Q Clothier, a custom shirt from Astor & Black, a Rock Avenue Bow Ties pocket square, and a Rock Avenue Bow ties prototype bow tie.

Inside the publication, Jenkins is among three Columbus athletes highlighted for their style outside the game. In addition to the former Ohio State football player, the featured sports pros include Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman, James Wisniewski and Columbus Crew midfielder, Wil Trapp.

ERIC DECKER STARS IN BUFFALO DAVID BITTON CAMPAIGN WITH ERIN HEATHERTON

Earlier this summer, Eric Decker was announced as the new face of the Buffalo David Bitton Fall 2014 campaign. The New York Jets wide receiver is the second athlete to appear in ads for the fashion house, as part of the brand’s “Buffalo Pro” initiative. NBA baller, Chandler Parsons, starred in the Spring 2014 shots, together with Ashley Sky.

Decker makes his modeling debut alongside Victoria’s Secret model, Erin Heatherton. The new campaign has him dressed in apparel from the latest Buffalo David Bitton collection. He’s outfitted in a range of styles, including plaid button-down shirts, henleys, motorcycle jackets and denim.

JULIUS RANDLE & AARON CRAFT STEP UP THEIR NBA STYLE GAME WITH RICK FOX

Julius Randle and Aaron Craft took a break from NBA Summer League play to talk style with Rick Fox. As part of NBA TV’s “After Dark” series, the rookies joined Fox at Stitched at The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas. They picked out new accessories to wear for opening night, while Fox shared some style advice: “The details take you from good to great.”

Randle chose to accessorize with shades and for Craft, the focus was socks. Both players also revealed the element of their fashion game that could use the most improvement.

Randle: “I’m pretty fashionable, but I think I can improve my hat game.”

Craft: “Out in Vegas you see a lot of nice jackets. I think I could step that game up a little bit.”

2014 NFL WOMEN’S APPAREL CAMPAIGN SNEAK PEEK

The NFL has enlisted a new crop of famous female faces to appear in the 2014 Women’s Apparel campaign, “Together We Make Football.” Dania Ramirez, Jordin Sparks, Jessica Szohr and Erin Heatherton are among the women set to model the latest team designs. Younger stars like Miranda Cosgrove and China McClain will showcase styles from the league’s tween apparel line.

The league’s female fan gear has become more stylish with each season. The clothing ads continue the trend of merging team-themed apparel with high-end pieces. Fans can mix-and-match items to reflect their personal style, and transition their NFL wardrobe from game day to everyday.

The featured campaign looks were styled by Phillip Bloch. The celebrity stylist has returned, after been named the NFL’s first Creative Fashion Director last season. Below is a preview of the 2014 Women’s Apparel campaign shots:

CAM NEWTON TAPPED AS THE FACE OF DRAKKAR ESSENCE FRAGRANCE

Cam Newton has already tackled fashion design, developing his signature “MADE Cam Newton” collection of men’s apparel for Belk. Now he has transitioned into the beauty realm. The Carolina Panthers quarterback is the latest athlete to front a fragrance campaign. Newton has been tapped as the face of Drakkar Essence, a new scent from L’Oreal.

The original Drakkar fragrance, a classic scent launched in the 1980’s, has been revamped with a contemporary twist. Among the updated features is the #showyourpower hashtag, to accompany the previous slogan of “Feel the Power.” As WWD explained:

The Drakkar brand’s historic ad slogan has always been “Feel the Power.” L’Oréal added a hashtag #showyourpower in a sly reference to Newton’s habit of striking a Superman pose on the playing field after scoring touchdowns.

RUSSELL WESTBROOK DEBUTS FASHION COLLABORATION WITH BARNEYS NEW YORK

Russell Westbrook’s fashion collaboration with Barneys New York has officially launched. The “Westbrook XO Barneys New York” collection features a range of apparel and accessories, perfectly on-point with Westbrook’s off-court sense of style. The Oklahoma City Thunder guard was directly involved in the design process. Pieces reflect his affinity for bold prints and unique silhouettes, and his overall eclectic approach to dressing.

“Fashion has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. To have this opportunity to express myself creatively through this collection means so much to me. ATHLETES DRESSED UP FOR THE 2014 ESPY AWARDS

The 22nd annual ESPY Awards were held at the Nokia Theatre last night, and athletes brought their fashion A-game for the evening. The competitive nature of sports transitioned to the red carpet, as players vied for best-dressed honors. To increase the sartorial focus, this year’s ESPY Awards Red Carpet featured the Capital One Quicksilver Cam, offering a 360-degree view of each ensemble. Los Angeles Laker, Nick Young, was also tapped to cover fashion on the red carpet. Below os a recap of the 2014 ESPYs Awards fashion game:
