Never before have so many men looked so good in pink…

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the NFL has teamed up with the American Cancer Society to support the cause. During Week 4 games, our favorite NFL stars will be sporting pink game gear including sideline hats, gloves, wrist guards, and even pink cleats.

The gear and game balls will also be autographed by players and auctioned off, with the proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society and team charities. Fans can also pick up pink BCA gear at stadium stores this weekend. This is one instance where Glam Gal says pink is acceptable for fan gear.

The glamorous husband and wife team looked hot together as they walked the blue carpet at the Adidas Originals Launch in Los Angeles. While David dressed down in a gray hoodie (from Adidas, of course) and jeans, Victoria supported her husband in an amazing Fall 09 LBD from William Tempest and purple velvet Brian Atwood pumps. Thanks to Victoria’s great taste, David didn’t have to look too far for design advice.

The event introduced David Beckham’s new Adidas clothing line, Beckham by J. Bond Collection. Beckham collaborated with James Bond, owner of the Undefeated boutiques, on a fall/winter men’s collection for Adidas Originals by Originals ( WWD).

When it comes to fangear, it seems the options for women have always been limited. But gone are the days of pale pink ensembles and over-sized men’s jerseys. Now
there are so many ways to dress like a fan, without sacrificing your style. Whether it’s the MLB, the NCAA, or the NFL, Glam Gal’s got you covered – and NOT in pink. Check out this fashionable fan gear:

TOUCH By Alyssa Milano

Actress, Dodgers Fan and designer, Alyssa Milano, offers the TOUCH collection, which includes tops, hoodies, jackets and pants from some of the biggest names in sports. When asked about the inspiration for the line, Milano referenced her trips to stadium shops and the lack of merchandise that women would actually buy. Instead, her fashions allow females to show their team support and still look good doing so.

Just like their professional baseball player husbands, the New York Yankee wives have transitioned from minor league to major league lifestyles. But it wasn’t always easy (and it’s still not).

The New York Post has shared some of the juicy secrets of these “Bronx Bombshells”:

While they might don designer duds now, these wives spent lots of time in dingy motels while their husbands paid their dues.
What do they do when they’re not watching ball? They attend Fashion Week, trunk shows and other designer sales and hang out with the kids and plan picnics at the stadium.
This circle of wives is very exclusive, so much so that girlfriends are not allowed. Not even celebrity girlfriends! Sorry Minka.

Not all of us ladies are sports fans and married to major league men. And guys, it can be hard to get your girl … Read More »

Stella McCartney, known for her feminine tops and dresses (Kate Hudson is a fan) has expanded her active-wear line with Adidas, which has been going strong since 2005. Glam Gal especially loved her U.S. Open looks, but now in addition to tennis, yoga and golf apparel, McCartney is offering cyclists and runners the latest fashions.

The line debuted during London Fashion Week and featured lightweight fabrics designed with comfort and perspiration in mind, making the products both functional and stylish. Mesh was also prominent as part of gym shoes and tees. And McCartney even managed to incorporate one of this season’s hottest trends, animal prints, into these sporty new fashions.

Often touted as the “Super Bowl” of Fashion, NYC was invaded by celebrities, models, fashion icons and yes, athletes, to celebrate Merecedes Benz Spring 2010 Fashion Week. With so many sports stars jumping on the designing bandwagon, it’s no surprise that some of the hottest designers have also begun to showcase
athletic-inspired fashions on the runways, including one of Glam Gal’s absolute favorites – Alexandar Wang.

An MVD (Most Valuable Designer) at this year’s Fashion Week, Wang’s models sported some of the biggest trendsetting looks. The sportswear inspiration was evident in his runway show, from the varsity letterman sweaters and baseball shorts to sweatshirts with leather shoulder pads resembling American football apparel.

And here’s the lowdown on the Spring 2010 trends from some classic sportswear favorites: Lacoste and Y-3.

In one of tennis’ great comeback stories, new mom Kim Clijsters clinched the U.S. Open title. And no one was happier than Fila. Throughout her run, Kim sported a classic red, white and blue FIla ensemble from the 2009 Women’s Heritage Collection. The 26-year old has already met with Fila’s apparel team to talk about styles for next Spring. Glam Gal can’t wait to see what’s in store!

Which other tennis star also signed a deal with Fila? None other than U.S. hottie James Blake. Fila and Blake joined forces to create a collection that is said to be inspired by James, his life and interests and incorporates the heritage of the Fila brand with a contemporary twist. Blake said he wanted the line transitional, to include … Read More »

This year’s U.S. Open was as much of a fashion show as it was a tennis tournament, with competitors showcasing their tennis ability and their fashion sense. Even Vogue’s Anna Wintour took a break from NY Fashion Week to watch her favorite sport and cheer on her good friend, Roger Federer.

And Anna should be proud, as this year’s players stepped up their game looking very fashion-forward at Arthur Ashe Stadium. The tennis trophies have already been awarded, but here’s a list of A Glam Slam’s top U.S. Open Fashion honors:

Best Kicks: Melanie Oudin

U.S. newcomer, 17-year-old Melanie Oudin, definitely won the hearts of the fans. While her outfit was a bit boring, Oudin rode her way to the quarterfinals thanks to her Adidas sneakers featuring the word “Believe.” The bright pink and yellow sneakers were a huge hit, so much so that … Read More »

For the third consecutive season, country beauty Faith Hill has recorded the opening theme for NBC Sunday Night Football. The song, “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night,” is actually set to the original Joan Jett song, “I Hate Myself for Loving You.” As if her killer voice wasn’t enough, check out the sexy black mini and thigh-high leather boots that Faith rocks in this promo. Talk about a touchdown!

While we might not all be gorgeous Grammy winning artists, we can easily get Faith’s look for less. Glam Gal loves these affordable options from American Apparel and Jeffrey Campbell.
