CAM NEWTON’S FESTIVAL FASHION FOR COACHELLA 2017

Coachella’s festival fashion statements draw as much attention as the featured musical performances. With a dress code of ‘anything goes,” festival attendees bring out the most eclectic pieces in in their wardrobes. Cam Newton was no exception.

Off-the-field, the Carolina Panthers quarterback is known to be sartorial risk-taker, with clothing and accessories choices that spark reactions from football and fashion fans alike. Newton’s Coachella digs included a matching floral shirt and shorts set, his signature headwear and arms dressed in jewelry.

JULIAN EDELMAN IS THE FACE OF JOE’S JEANS SPRING ’17 CAMPAIGN

Joe’s Jeans has tapped Julian Edelman as a Global Brand Ambassador and the face of the denim company’s Spring 17 campaign. The New England Patriots wide receiver will hold this position until 2018.

“I am excited to be partnering with an incredible denim brand like Joe’s as the clothes are very much in line with what I like – refined, with great design,” said Edelman. “The Joe’s men’s collection has everyday pieces from jeans to jackets that I can dress up or down, but the brand’s innovative use of fabric is really what sets it apart. Working with Joe’s has been a fantastic experience and I’m looking forward to representing the brand as Global Ambassador over the next year.”

DWYANE WADE COLLABORATES WITH DSQUARED2 ON A CAPSULE COLLECTION FOR SAKS

Dwyane Wade is expanding his fashion horizons, with a new capsule collection of menswear. The Chicago Bulls guard has collaborated with Dsquared2, to develop a line of apparel exclusively for Saks Fifth Avenue.

Wade is a longtime fan of Dsquared2 and he tapped the company to create his custom wedding attire. The new nine-piece collection, set to debut at Saks this Spring, features a mix of casual and formal fashions. Items range from tees to tuxedo jackets, with special touches like Wade’s jersey number #3 and “Wade” graphics. Pieces reflect Wade’s personal style of dress as well as the Dsquared2 design aesthetic.

DENIM BRAND FOURTH OF NOVEMBER LAUNCHES LIMITED-EDITION COLLECTION FOR KNICKS 70TH ANNIVERSARY

Beginning today, fans can celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the New York Knicks in style. Brooklyn-based denim brand, Fourth of November, has linked up with the Knicks to create a commemorative varsity jacket and snapback cap. Only 70 pieces are available and the fashions are being sold exclusively at the Madison Square Garden Team Store.

A new collaboration between ’47 Brand, Hombre Nino and United Arrow & Sons brings a fashion-forward, contemporary twist to MLB team apparel.

Designers YOPPI of Hombre Nino and Poggy of United Arrows & Sons incorporated the street style influence of Japan into a high-quality capsule collection of blazers and caps. The New York Yankees, New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies are among the three featured teams and each squad’s and logos are updated with two-tone colorways and a tailored finish. VICTOR CRUZ & RUSSELL WESTBROOK NAMED TO VANITY FAIR’S 2016 INTERNATIONAL BEST-DRESSED LIST

Though their personal style is distinctly different, Victor Cruz and Russell Westbrook have both been lauded among the top-dressers in their sports and beyond. Vanity Fair has released its 2016 International Best Dressed List and Cruz and Westbrook have each scored sartorial honors. On the men’s side, the athletes join a small group of fashionable fellas that includes the likes of Vice President Joe Biden and Prince Harry.

The New York Giants wide receiver and the Oklahoma City Thunder guard shared some of their favorite fashion pieces and style idols with the magazine. Cruz credited his Saint Laurent Bomber Jacket as his favorite piece of clothing and his father as his style idol. Westbrook named his jeans, “especially my Westbrook x True Religion jeans” as his favorite piece of clothing, with his mother as his style idol.

PHILLIP PLEIN CREATES “MEASURE OF SUCCESS” SPOT WITH BRAXTON MILLER

Following his college football career at Ohio State, Braxton Miller embarked on both football and fashion endeavors. The Houston Texans wide receiver was quickly tapped as an ambassador for luxe Swiss fashion label Phillip Plein, and was outfitted in the brand’s designs at the NFL Draft in April. In the latest leg of the partnership, Phillip Plein has launched a web-film featuring the footballer.

The spot, dubbed “Measure of Success,” documents the creation of Miller’s custom made, croc leather Phillip Plein leather jacket. According to the brand, the video is meant to demonstrate how the making of jacket mirrors Miller’s hard work, self-belief and dedication.

The 40-second film recently debuted on PLEIN.com, as well as the brand’s social media and YouTube channels. Check it out below:
