SARTORIAL STATEMENTS FROM THE 2016 ESPY AWARDS
The biggest names in sports gathered last night for the 2016 ESPY Awards, to celebrate the year’s top performers and notable highlights on the field, the court and the ice. Each year, the ESPYS offers athletes an opportunity to showcase their sartorial chops. Team uniforms are replaced with bespoke suits and glamorous gowns. Helmets are removed to reveal perfectly coiffed manes. Cleats and sneakers are swapped for luxe footwear designs. Below A Glam Slam recaps fashions from the 2016 ESPYS:
Statement jackets were among the evening’s trends, in the form of patterned pieces and bold hues. Terrell Owens chose a floral printed jacket, while Richard Sherman opted for a vibrant blue textured jacket, to balance out his black-on-black ensemble. Steph Curry’s ALBA Legacy ensemble included a blue velvet design.

The athletes changed their outfits to join Dwyane Wade and LeBron James on-stage. The group, styled in black, delivered a powerful message to begin the show, denouncing gun violence.
DeAndre Jordan and Karl Towns both chose green garb for the 2016 ESPYS. Jordan was outfitted in a woven, “wilderness green” suit from Waraire Boswell.
Towns’ dark green tux was accented with a black bow tie and black lapels, in addition to a green floral lapel pin.
Jordan Clarkson looked sleek in a custom pinstripe suit and crisp white shirt from Elevee Lifestyle.
Lindsey Vonn’s black jumpsuit from Michael Costello made for a memorable red carpet statement, thanks to its deep-v neckline, sequinsx bottom, and caped top.
