MEMORABLE STYLE MOMENTS FROM 2016 NBA ALL-STAR WEEKEND

As part of last year’s NBA All-Star festivities, players competed in the first “NBA All-Star All-Style” fashion show, with J.R. Smith nabbing top honors. While there was no formal catwalk this time around, the weekend still served a runway for the league’s top stars to showcase their personal style. The All-Stars were not only being recognized for their skills on the hardwood, but also for being among the best in the sartorial game. Below A Glam Slam breaks down memorable looks from 2016 NBA All-Star weekend in Toronto:

Russell Westbrook was named All-Star Game MVP for the second consecutive year, and continued to prove was he’s also an MVP on the fashion front. The weekend had him dressed in distinct styles, ranging from a patterned Givenchy jacket to a casual denim on denim ensemble to a double-breasted plaid suit. Westbrook is one of many NBA athletes styled by ALBA Legacy.

The cool Toronto temperatures made for tough competition in the coat game. Dwyane Wade led the pack in this look, including designs from DSquared2, Maison Valentino and Del Toro Shoes, styled by Calyann Barnett.

John Wall donned a deep red coat with a partial fur collar, also designed by ALBA Legacy.

Chris Paul’s warm weather fashion statement was styled by Courtney Mays.

Draymond Green’s coat game included the design below from Vick Michel, complete with large fur lapels. He switched gears later in the weekend, wearing an electric yellow moto jacket.

Since his fashion debut in the 2014 NBA Draft, Wiggins has cemented his status as a style risk-taker. His metallic python jacket from Guiseppe Zanotti, styled by Brandon Williams, was no exception.

Andre Drummond was styled to stand out in a custom, patchwork jacket, courtesy of ALBA Legacy.

Anthony Davis was also dressed in ALBA Legacy throughout the weekend. Among his featured fashions was the jacket below, highlighted by embellished sleeves.

Kobe Bryant arrived for his final NBA All-Star Game showcasing his classic suiting style.

The All-Star fashion statements translated to the sidelines. Super Bowl 50 MVP, Von Miller posed with Spike Lee, each showing off their eclectic eyewear selections.

With the All-Star Game falling on Valentine’s Day, Craig Sager translated the holiday theme into his on-court clothing choice.

Drake paid homage to Kobe Bryant, dressed in a one-of-a-kind leather jacket with details such as a graphic of Kobe alongside “Farewell To Mamba.”

Wicked wicked wicked
