NIKE CREATES “COLOR RUSH” NFL UNIFORMS
The Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets will face off next Thursday in a new set of on-field fashions, as Nike debuts the “Color Rush” NFL uniforms. Eight teams will debut the styles this season, exclusively for Thursday Night Games, with the remaining NFL squads to follow suit in 2016. Nike explained the inspiration behind the concept:
On Thanksgiving Day, 1965, the NFL ran its first-ever color broadcast of a regular season game, revolutionizing football broadcasting and transforming the way the nation viewed the sport. Fifty years later, Nike and the NFL will recapture the spectacle by highlighting color in a reinvigorated and reimagined way through the new Nike Color Rush uniforms.
The uniforms will have players dressed head-to-toe in monocramatic hues, representing each team’s current or historic primary colors. For the Bills it will be red, while the Jets will wear kelly green. The remaining teams set to don the new gear include: Tennessee Titans (Titan Blue), Jacksonville Jaguars (Bold Gold), Carolina Panthers (Panthers Blue), Dallas Cowboys (White), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Red) and St. Louis Rams (Yellow Gold).
