RUSSELL WESTBROOK DEBUTS NEW CREATIVE COLLABORATION WITH TRUE RELIGION COLLECTION
Russell Westbrook has plenty of fashion experience under his belt, having launched a successful range with Barneys NY, as well as his own eyewear line, Westbrook Frames. Continuing down the sartorial path, the Oklahoma City Thunder guard was also tapped as campaign creative director for True Religion earlier this year. He previously spoke with Esquire about the partnership:
Esquire: Knowing your style, True Religion is an interesting choice. How did you and the brand decide to work together?
Russell Westbrook: Actually, I think it is a perfect choice for me. My dad is a huge True Religion fan and has always worn their jeans so I grew up with the brand. Right now True Religion is the process of a brand transformation. I think a lot of people have an outdated idea of what the brand is all about and I am excited to be working with them to help change people’s minds. They are all about fearless style which is exactly who I am.
Westbrook has launched his new creative collaboration with the brand. He styled the company’s new campaign and shared his True Religion holiday 2015 picks. Pieces from the line include graphic tees, button down shirts, moto jackets and a variety of denim designs, all consistent with Westbrook’s personal sense of style.
