MICHAEL STRAHAN LAUNCHES A SUIT COLLECTION WITH JCPENNEY
Following a recent sponsorship with NBA rookie Frank Kaminsky, JCPenney has linked up with another sports star. The retailer launched a men’s suit collection with Michael Strahan. The NFL Hall of Famer and former New York Giant has made the transition from gridiron gear to a sharp suiting style, for his roles as LIVE! with Kelly and Michael co-host and NFL on FOX broadcaster.
“My new collection at JCPenney reflects my personal style,” said Strahan. “I believe every man should be able to afford a well-made suit, one that is comfortable and stylish.”
The “Collection by Michael Strahan” features tailored suit separates, sport coats, dress shirts, and accessories. Strahan played a role in the design process, which included working with the designers and selecting styles and fabrics that would accommodate his busy lifestyle. Among the featured fabrics in the line are herringbone, faux-suede and flannel, with windowpane, paisley and solid patterns. Prices range from $38 for cuff links, and suit separates from $120 – $260.
“Michael Strahan is highly regarded for his impeccable style, which is reflected in every aspect of his personal and professional life. He’s the kind of dresser that always looks put together without a lot of effort,” said John Tighe, senior vice president of men’s apparel for JCPenney. “Collection by Michael Strahan is designed for the active, style-conscious man – qualities exemplified by Michael himself, making him the perfect brand partner for this line.”
