“NFL STYLE SHOWDOWN” SHOWCASES NEW WOMEN’S APPAREL & SUPER BOWL 50 LINE

The NFL recently unveiled the latest installment of its women’s apparel campaign, featuring a new crop of famous female fans, each with a distinct sense of style. To further showcase the updated offerings, the league held its first ever “NFL Women’s Style Showdown” on September 24, at ArtBeam in New York City. The evening also marked the debut of the Super Bowl 50 commemorative clothing collection.

The NFL tapped three bloggers, including A Glam Slam founder Heather Zeller, to curate customizable looks in four categories: “Athleisure,” “Casual Friday,” “Ladies Night Out,” and “Gameday.” Bloggers were tasked with choosing a piece of NFL apparel, and pairing that team gear with on-trend items to showcase the versatility of the football fashions. The finished looks proved that fans don’t have to sacrifice their personal style to demonstrate their team pride. Christine Bibbo Herr of NYCPretty.com and Liz Black of PSItsFashion.com were also among the participating bloggers. To learn more about A Glam Slam’s event preparation, watch the video below:

The festivities were co-hosted by Erin Andrews and comedian, Michael Stauffer. Each featured ensemble presented by the bloggers was critiqued by a panel of celebrity judges, including actress and NFL Women’s Campaign ambassador, Jamie Chung, celebrity stylist, Phillip Bloch, and former NFL fullback, Tony Richardson.

The team-themed fashions that were featured on stage are all currently available at NFLShop.com. The Super Bowl 50 Women’s Apparel collection will make its debut on October 15. The line serves as a celebration of the past 49 Super Bowls and this year’s game, with a focus on golden elements as a nod to the host city of San Francisco. For the first time in history, the Super Bowl is also breaking away from its iconic roman numerals logo to further elevate and celebrate its historic 50 years.
