J.R. SMITH WINS THE FIRST-EVER NBA ALL-STAR ALL-STYLE FASHION SHOW

In the NBA, each game is reminiscent of a runway show. The competitive spirit of players takes on a sartorial focus, as they put careful time and effort into showcasing their fashion skills. Arena arrivals and post-game press conferences feature no shortage of designer apparel, with the trend-setting ways of NBA ballers on full display. With the 2015 NBA All-Star Game and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week happening simultaneously in New York City, it was only fitting that the league would debut it’s first-ever fashion show.

TNT exclusively televised the NBA All-Star All-Style event, present by Samsung Galaxy, and produced by LeBron James’ Springhill Production Company. The catwalk included some of the league’s most fashion-forward stars, who walked the runway together with stylists and IMG models. The show consisted of three rounds: dressing for the boardroom, a night out, and attire worn to a game. Among the seven featured players were: Chandler Parsons, J.R. Smith, James Harden, DeMarcus Cousins, Zach LaVine, Jeff Teague, and Klay Thompson.

J.R. Smith landed atop the sartorial leaderboard, winning the All-Star All-Style event.
