NICOLE MILLER DESIGNS “SIGNATURE DRESS” FOR THE SIXERS DANCERS
Nicole Miller has collaborated with the Philadelphia 76ers, to create an exclusive dress for the Sixers Dancers. Miller will bring her design aesthetic to the hardwood for the 2014-15 season. Other pairings between professional sports teams and fashion designers have included the Philadelphia Eagles and Vera Wang. Wang made special uniforms for the Eagles Cheerleaders last season.
“Nicole Miller is an internationally-respected designer and iconic brand with strong ties to the Philadelphia region,” said Sixers CEO Scott O’Neil. “Her dresses define class, confidence and are undeniably influential in our city, making her the perfect partner in creating a new look for the Sixers Dancers.”
The Sixers Dancers “Signature Dress” by Nicole Miller was officially unveiled today, during a ceremony at the Nicole Miller Philadelphia store. The fashions feature the team’s signature blue and red hues, accented with a silver Sixers logo pin. The dress also includes a form-fitting silhouette with a deep v-neck. All 22 members of the Sixers Dancers will showcase the style on-court, during pregame introductions and the National Anthem at the 76ers’ Opening Night on Saturday. The team will also wear the dress at select off-court appearances throughout the season.
“I am excited about this partnership because the story of the Sixers Dancers goes hand in hand with our latest campaign, which is based around the tag line ‘you don’t have to wear a suit to feel strong,’” said Nicole Miller. “I think this group of young women really exemplify that motto. They are strong, confident, and driven.”
