NFL PLAYERS COMPETE FOR “MOST STYLISH” HONORS IN THE “GQ STYLE WARS”
NFL players are transitioning their competitive spirit from the gridiron to the fashion game. GQ magazine has launched “Style Wars,” pitting the league’s sartorial stars against one another. The 12 participating athletes are: Victor Cruz (New York Giants), Cam Newton (Carolina Panthers), Eric Decker (New York Jets), Larry Fitzgerald (Arizona Cardinals), Arian Foster (Houston Texans), Earl Thomas (Seattle Seahawks), Demarco Murray (Dallas Cowboys), Donte Whitner (Cleveland Brwons), Eric Ebron (Detroit Lions), Randall Cobb (Green Bay Packers), Colin Kaepernick (San Francisco 49ers) and Michael Crabtree (San Francisco 49ers).
As part of the competition, each player submits their most fashionable photos in an effort to be named GQ’s “Most Stylish.” Fans have an opportunity to choose their best-dressed pick and the winner will receive $10,000 for his favorite charity. Several players including Cam Newton and Randall Cobb, have also taken to twitter to help their cause.
