ANDY MURRAY IS FEATURED IN MR. PORTER.COM’S “THE LOOK”
Andy Murray models for MrPorter.com, an online retail destination for men’s style, in the latest installment of “The Look.” The Queen’s Club served as the backdrop for his shoot, which was photographed by John Balson and styled by Dan May. Murray was outfitted in denim designs from Nudie Jeans, Simon Miller and Jean Shop, long-sleeve tees from Acne Studios and Massimo Alba, and a coat from Bottega Veneta. On his feet, the tennis champ wore sandals with socks, and questioned the trend when speaking with MrPorter.com’s Style Director.
…And instead you see it in the way Mr Murray jokes and carries himself, the way he ribs MR PORTER’s Style Director. “So,” he says, slowly, “are people starting to wear socks with their flip-flops now?” The sudden, catlike grin. He is free. When he wears a hoodie now, Mr Murray smiles. And when he speaks about the turn of the seasons, the breaking of the British spring, it is as straightforward as it has ever been. “I always get pretty excited because the grass court season is only six or seven weeks away,” he says. “It always comes around really quick now… It’s gone fast as well.”
To accompany the fashion spread, Murray discussed a range of topics, such as being on the road, his interest in boxing, winning at Wimbledon, and his role as a defending champion. To read the full piece, written by Sam Knight, visit here.
