ELI MANNING ON CITIZEN WATCHES NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM, STYLE & THE NY GIANTS
Off-the-field, Eli Manning has been keeping time with Citizen Watches. The New York Giants quarterback joined forces with the brand several years ago, and has helped to design his signature, limited-edition timepieces. He’s also been a winner on the post-game style front. Manning often takes the podium sporting designs from Ermenegildo Zegna, accessorized with his Citizen Watches.
The partnership is not only fashionable, as Manning recently teamed up with Citizen Watches to support the brand’s National Merit Scholarship program, which rewards 50 scholarships to “unstoppable” college students. He offered up advice to students on topics such as planning ahead, finding focus, and dressing the part.
On dressing the part:
“You want to be comfortable in what you’re wearing. That means looking sharp but also feeling confident in what you’re wearing is the appropriate attire. If you want to throw on a Citizen Watch, that’s always a good look to make sure you’re going to make a good impression.”
On what’s next for the NY Giants:
“I think we had an outstanding draft,” Eli says, “As a quarterback, any time you draft a receiver and an offensive liner in the first two rounds, you usually get pretty excited. The whole team has been reenergized this off-season with some new players, new coaches, and we’re looking forward to big things.”
