ROBINSON CANO MODELS SUEDE OUTERWEAR STYLES FOR GQ MAGAZINE
For the first time in his MLB career, Robinson Cano will shed his New York Yankees pinstripes in favor of a new team uniform. In a major off-season move, the all-star second baseman accepted a record deal with the Seattle Mariners. GQ magazine’s April issue highlights Cano and his “mega contract,” in a piece dubbed “The $240 Million Man.”
Within the article, the new Mariner discussed growing up in San Pedro, his decision to sign with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation and memorable moments from playing with the Yankees. Below is an excerpt:
“It’s like growing up playing in your backyard. You never want to leave that place, those guys,” he says. “The three high points as a Yankee for me: when Jeter got 3,000 hits, Andy’s last game, and Mariano’s final ceremony. Those are the things that stick in your mind, in your heart.”
To accompany the piece, Cano visited the Dominican Republic, which served as a backdrop for his fashion shoot. He modeled the best suede outwear styles from designers like Burberry London, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Boss. Check some of the photos below and for additional shots, visit here.
