NFL’S VISANTHE SHIANCOE ATTENDS STYLE COALITION’S FASHION 2.0 AWARDS
Visanthe Shiancoe represented the sports world at Style Coalition’s 5th Annual Fashion 2.0 Awards, held at Merkin Concert Hall in New York City. The awards honor the most innovative fashion brands for their outstanding achievements and communication strategies across a variety of digital media channels. Nominees were chosen by an online community of industry influencers and fashion fans, and winners were determined by public vote. This year’s event was hosted by style expert, Robert Verdi, with fashion designer Zac Posen featured as a keynote speaker. For the full list of winners, visit here.
Like many NFL athletes, Shiancoe has immersed himself in the fashion world. He attended Vogue’s “Runway Retreat” during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in February. He recently spoke about his style in an interview with What Do I Wear (WDIW), where he also took part in a luxury menswear fashion shoot.
His advice to other men is to stick with your own style. “Make sure the clothes compliment your body, and you aren’t just ‘wearing’ them. If you want to look at someone else’s style, use inspiration from it and make it your own.”
For the Fashion 2.0 Awards, the NFL tight end was dressed in a classic black suit. Check it out:
