AMIR JOHNSON’S SIDELINE STYLE: THE RAPTORS “JERSEY VEST”
Toronto Raptors forward, Amir Jonson, debuted a unique sideline style statement last night, during a matchup against the Atlanta Hawks. An injured Johnson was unable to suit up in uniform, but he still incorporated his hardwood gear into his ensemble. Johnson opted for a personalized piece of fashion. He was dressed in a custom vest, made from a Raptors jersey. The vest came from MADE Clothing and for a loser look at Johnson’s design consultation, visit here.

Last year’s NBA Draft put a version of this trend on full display. Prospective players across the board debuted custom jacket linings, with many featuring deconstructed jerseys. Ben McLemore was among the draftees who paid homage to his alma-mater, adding a Kansas jersey to the interior of his jacket. In similar fashion, Drake, the Raptors new global ambassador, recently sported a jacket lined with the team’s jersey.
Check out the video footage below, showcasing Johnson in his vest, and indicating that he was inspired by Drake:
