HENRIK LUNDQVIST MODELS WINTER’S “COOLEST” COATS FOR FORBESLIFE MAGAZINE

Hockey fans know Henrik Lundqvist for his impeccable sense of style, in addition to his goaltending skills. Lundqvist was recently named to GQ magazines’s “The 25 Most Stylish Men of 2013″ list, just one of his many fashion accolades. His style-centric editorials are numerous, and most recently, the New York Rangers goalie is featured in the December 16th issue of ForbesLife magazine. For the full article, read on here. Below are a few excerpts:

But he’s made his biggest mark off the ice in the fashion world, assuming a throne once occupied by Joe Namath and Walt Frazier.

Of his own fashion sense, Lundqvist says it took time to develop: “I made a lot of mistakes along the way. “His fashion popularity, he says, is easy to explain. “When you’re a hockey player, if you make any effort to dress nicely, you, um, stand out a bit.”

To accompany the piece, Lundqvist is featured in a fashion shoot themed “Cold Comforts.” He models luxe Winter coats from designers like Dolce & Gabbana and Burberry, while “chilling out” on ice sculptures from Takeo Okamoto. Below are a few shots and for additional images, visit here.
