STEELERS HOST ANNUAL CHARITY FASHION SHOW, SANDERS WINS “SWAG AWARD”
Before suiting up in their team gear for Sunday’s matchup against the New York Jets, the Pittsburgh Steelers swapped their uniforms for designer duds. Last Friday, the team held its annual Steelers Style Fashion Show at the East Club Lounge at Heinz Field. Proceeds from the show benefitted the UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program and the Cancer Caring Center.
The theme of the evening was “Steelers Nation Black & Gold Style,” as team hues were incorporated into the featured fashions. Players and their families modeled apparel from American Eagle Outfitters, NIKE, Moda Pittsburgh, Michael Kors, Robert Graham, Nordstrom and Kiya Tomlin.
The evening also included the presentation of the “Swag Award,” which was voted on by Steelers teammates Lawrence Timmons and Antonio Brown, as well as head coach Mike Tomlin. Receiver Emmanuel Sanders snagged the stylish honor, while Jerricho Cotchery’s children were awarded with the “Junior Swag Award.”
