DWYANE WADE HOSTS “A NIGHT ON THE RUNWADE” FASHION SHOW
Dwyane Wade recently hosted his second annual “A Night On The Runwade” fashion show, a charity event to benefit Wade’s World Foundation. The show was presented by Neiman Marcus Coral Gables and watchmaker Hublot, for which Wade is a brand ambassador. Hosted by fashion correspondent, Jill Martin, and news anchor, Louis Aguirre, the runway show highlighted the latest Fall collections from Neiman Marcus. Included among the athletes in attendance were Wade’s teammates Mario Chalmers and Michael Beasley, and former Heat player, Alonzo Mourning.
Wade continues to build a business around his fashion interests outside the game. He has teamed up with The Tie Bar to launch “The Gentleman Collection By Dwyane Wade,” a capsule collection that will include 30 bow ties, 15 neckties, 15 pocket squares, and additional men’s accessories like tie bars and cuff links. “A Night On The Runwade” also saw the debut of his new sock line for Stance. He told the Miami Herald:
“The best things are unplanned. It just started from liking to dress. For me it was just always having fun with it and looking nice and taking chances, but to get to the point of being known for fashion and then one day have my own line, I never could have imagined that.”
“Right now, I’m trying to build my brand and my fashion brand.”
