LEBRON JAMES’ SPORTS ILLUSTRATED “SPORTSMAN OF THE YEAR” SUITING STYLE
LeBron James recently nabbed the Sports Illustrated “Sportsman of the Year” award following an MVP season and his first NBA championship. It was a season that had LeBron and the Miami Heat winning games on-the-court and dominating in the league’s fashion game off-the-court.
The Heat forward has become a trend-setter and one of many NBA stars known for pushing boundaries as it relates to his sense of style. Fans have seen him in fashions ranging from classic picks to flashier finds and naturally there was interest in his “Sportsman of the Year” attire. The magazine cover has James clad in a black on black ensemble. An un-knotted, slim black tie and a uniquely placed tie bar had fashion experts buzzing. LeBron is not one to shy away from bold accessories but for this cover, one piece of jewelry took center stage. The all-black suiting style allowed for his championship ring shine. Check it out:
James opted for a brown suit from Waraire Boswell for the “Sportsman of the Year” party. The company is no stranger to dressing NBA stars having worked with players including Kobe Bryant, Tyson Chandler and Chris Bosh. The sharp, brown suit was paired with black shirt and textured tie. NBA players have made it a point to accessorize with thick-rimmed glasses and the fashion statement was not lost on LeBron. The eyewear finished off his celebratory style.
