LANDS’ END CELEBRATES GREEN BAY PACKERS WITH NEW “TITLETOWN” COLLECTION
Green Bay Packers fans now have a new way to showcase their team pride, thanks to Wisconsin-based clothing retailer, Lands’ End. The company developed an exclusive collection to celebrate the 13-time championship winning team and its traditions. The “Titletown” line features a range of green and gold apparel and accessories for the entire family, including dresses, shirts, hats, gloves, tote bags, towels and dog sweaters.
“We’re bringing our expertise in apparel and accessories to fellow Packers fans everywhere. We can’t wait for fans to enjoy our cozy outdoor accessories, rugbys, stadium blankets and more, whether they’re tailgating at Lambeau Field or an armchair spectator,” said Marla Ryan, senior vice president of merchandising, Lands’ End. “We know Packers pride doesn’t end once fans leave the field. We’ve designed a great quality collection to last from game season to season – on and off the field.”
To further honor the team and its history, select items from the collection pay homage to the “Legends of Titletown.” The brand describes these legends as “unsung heroes” who stories helped them to develop the “Titletown” collection.
Titletown Chunky Knit Mittens: Inspired by Milton “Mitts” Gombert, the receiver who wore mittens during games to keep his hands warm, before they were banned.
Titletown Hooded Pet Sweater: Inspired by “Fetch,” the team’s unofficial mascot in the 50’s.
Titletown Heavyweight Rugby: Inspired by Angus O’Reilly, who insisted on wearing a rugby shirt instead of a jersey at gametime.
Titletown Chunky Knit Hat or the “Chunky Fenstermacher:” Inspired by Karl “Chunky” Fenstermacher who wore a chunky knit cap over his helmet.
Titletown Canvas Tote or the “Tailgate Tote:” Inspired by a stories of group of sailors who docked in Green Bay and wanted to bring refreshments to the game.
“It’s great to see Packers spirit is alive and well at Lands’ End,” said Craig Benzel, Director of Marketing and Corporate Sales, Green Bay Packers. “It makes a lot of sense to work with another legendary Wisconsin-based organization to truly show not just Packers Pride, but all the good things that come from so many in this great state.”
