Marchesa, the fashion house known for its lustworthy red carpet creations, has switched gears in the name of New York Jets football. The designer has debuted limited-edition Gang Green-themed tops. The collaboration came about with the help of Suzanne Johnson, wife of Jets owner Woody Johnson and ambassador for the NFL women’s apparel campaign. Johnson was approached by Marchesa designer, Georgina Chapman, and her husband and Jets fan, Harvey Weinstein, about developing the high-end female fan gear.

NFL gear for women has received a fashion update in recent years and the league developed a dedicated “NFL Women’s Apparel: Fit For You” campaign. This season’s campaign, dubbed “It’s My Team,” added an element of high-fashion to football fan gear. Ads feature a variety of famous female faces who showcase their personal style through their football fashions. The new ads merge team gear with luxury pieces like Jimmy Choo heels, Christian Louboutin stilettos and Birkin bags. The league has made great strides in its effort to develop fashion-forward female fan gear and the addition of the Marchesa tees continues that trend.

It’s been a year in the making and I can’t wait to unveil the Marchesa shirt for the masses, a real fashion forward statement for female fans that elevates team apparel,” the designer told InStyle.

The shirts were officially unveiled at a private party last night. Joining Johnson and Chapman were Jets QB Mark Sanchez, as well as members of this year’s NFL women’s campaign including Summer Sanders, Melania Trump and DJ Kiss. The white teams tees feature a feminine silhouette and are embellished with Swarovski crystals, adding drama to traditional fan gear.

Fans can expect to see designs for the Pittsburgh Steelers, New Orleans Saints, Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs, and Washington Redskins in the near future. For now, the Marchesa New York Jets top is available today at and retails for $110. Check it out:
