TOM BRADY, VICTOR CRUZ NAMED TO VANITY FAIR’S 2012 “INTERNATIONAL BEST-DRESSED LIST”
Vanity Fair has assembled the 73rd annual “International Best-Dressed List,” which the magazine dubs as “the international cream of 2012’s fashionable crop.” With a group that ranges from royals to designers, it’s an impressive feat for an athlete to nab a spot among the most influential fashion figures in the world.
Sports stars who have received the fashion honor in the past include David Beckham and Vodaphone McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 driver, Jenson Button, who was the lone athlete to make the cut last year. This time around, two NFL stars have secured their place on the coveted list of style standouts: New England Patriots QB, Tom Brady, and New York Giants WR, Victor Cruz.
Both athletes make their debut appearance on the list but the football stars fall on opposite sides of the fashion spectrum. Brady is a style veteran. He’s long been recognized for his sartorial sense in the fashion and sports worlds. Cruz is a newcomer, but he has quickly risen in the fashion ranks. Like Brady, he can now be seen fronting fashion magazines and he’s become a fixture at high-fashion events.
