ADIDAS UNVEILS NEW MARCH MADNESS UNIFORMS FOR BAYLOR, CINCINNATI & LOUISVILLE
In celebration of March Madness, adidas has unveiled new uniforms for three men’s basketball programs: Baylor, Cincinnati and Lousiville. The schools will wear their new adizero threads during their respective conference tournaments and throughout the NCAA tournament.
According to the brand, the gear is on average 28 percent lighter than the schools’ previous uniforms to keep players light and faster on court. Jerseys feature a ClimaCool zone to provide moisture-wicking benefits while the short’s four-way stretch woven material works with the body’s natural movements to increase mobility for players.
The uniforms boast a limited edition design and coloring developed only for this season’s NCAA tournament run. The apparel was created in vibrant team hues “to pay homage the high intensity of March Madness play.” For each team, patterned shorts resemble a tiger print, yet the camoflague design is said to be “inspired by teamwork and working together to attack the court as a group.” While all three teams will make a bold style statement, Baylor’s uniforms are certainly the flashiest of the bunch. A neon yellow/black/dark green color scheme has already been compared to Oregon’s famous sports fashions.
Baylor will wear the adizero gear March 5-10th for the Big 12 Conference Tournament. Cincinnati and Louisville will debut the new hardwood fashions during the Big East Tournament March 6-10th at Madison Square Garden. All three teams will continue to wear the uniforms for the NCAA Tournament, beginning on March 13th. For more information on the adizero uniforms, visit here.
