LES MILES & ERIN ANDREWS DISCUSS HIS SIGNATURE FASHION STATEMENT: THE WHITE HAT
Sweater vests, hooded sweatshirts and colored blazers and pants are just some of the trademark fashions that we’ve come to associate with professional and college football coaches. In the case of LSU head coach, Les Miles, that signature style is a white baseball cap. It’s a simple adornment, but the hat has become so synonymous with Miles, he’s even been nicknamed “The Mad Hatter.” ESPN’s College GameDay headed to Tuscaloosa this past weekend, for a much anticipated showdown between #1 ranked LSU and #2 ranked Alabama. Despite the game’s implications, Miles made some time to sit down with Erin Andrews to discuss his popular sideline style.
When asked what he believes is his signature fashion [on the field], Miles said: “The hat. My fashion statement – consistency. I started my career with the hat. It has always been white, and to be honest, I want my team to see the same guy on the sideline, year after year, game after game, being consistent is the key.”
Miles even revealed that he never repeats a cap. Instead, he’s provided with a brand new one prior to each game.“I don’t know that I ever took the field, in a responsible position, without a hat,” he said.
